Sunday motivation- as i sit here next to my son who wakes up(thank you God) every morning with out having a choice knowing he has a battle everyday to live! He Lives! HE THRIVES! and yes days are tougher then others but he smiles even in the darkest scariest moments. That strength is so admired and shared that how can I be one to complain when i’m shown a true warrior everyday! just now he fought his way out of DKA(diabetic keto acidosis)- and smiles . I can’t , I can’t understand how the system works in such disappointment for these children that suffer . THIS MAKES ME SICK KNOWING THERE IS BETTER TREATMENT OUT THERE FOR MY SON WHO HAS SEVERE LOWS WITH TYPE 1 DIABETES – and many more warriors like him, yet it’s a fucking business. HOW DOES ONE SLEEP AT NIGHT- playing God- is not ok. I am a mom that will go above and beyond expectations to make sure my son and others have the choices for treatment / not greedy standpoints- ya know insulin prices, not allowing kids up grades in devices bc of bullshit money- FUCK YOU – it’s a true love hate relationship with the pharmaceutical companies – #rant over
